Moscow, October 22, 2008. OJSC “Company “M.video” (RTS, MICEX: MVID) announces the opening of the chain’s second hypermarket in Volgograd (Volgograd region, Volga Federal District).
The new store accounts to almost 2300 sq.m. of total space, has more than 20 000 SKUs of consumer electronics and digital products and as much as 7000 media products. The pre-opening costs amounted to 55 million roubles.
M.video opened its first store in Volgograd in July 2006.
The company confirms its plans to open up to 40 new stores in 2008.
